BeeCause - #Lab14

At conference I met Friends of the Earth to discuss their BeeCause campaign which I am pleased to support.

The Government has launched a draft National Pollinator Strategy (NPS) to reverse the decline in the bee population. However, without crucial changes it will be too weak to reverse this decline.

The BeeCause campaign is about strengthening the NPS so it delivers for bees.

Some people will perhaps think this is a trivial issue  but the simple fact is that without the bees we are in big trouble. Many things will be unable to grow; this is about food production, biodiversity, the recycling of oxygen and carbon dioxide, our future in fact. It is really important that bees and other pollinators survive and thrive.

You can find out more about the campaign here.
