I feel privileged to have the support of local residents in my campaign to be the next MP for Stockton South.

I will be publishing a new endorsement every day in the run up to the election on May 7th.

If you would like to endorse me too please send me a message.

"I've met Louise and I'm convinced she'll be an excellent MP for Stockton South. She took the time to speak to me and listen to my views, and really understands the issues facing young people, so I'll be voting for her on Thursday."

"I was born in Middlesbrough and have worked and been educated in and around Teesside all of my 70 years. I have lived in Ingleby Barwick for 15 years. I worked for Dorman Long and ICI as a Chemist. I then trained at Teesside University to become a Probation Officer. I retired in 2005 having spent 10 years as Assistant Chief Probation Officer. I then became a non-executive director of Stockton Primary Care Trust. I was also an independent member of Cleveland Police Authority. I am actively involved in opposing the further wholesale housing developments on the green wedge to the South of Ingleby Barwick.

"It is from my past 70 years of experience on Teesside that I wish to go public in commenting on the present difficulties for Teesside brought about by this Tory-led government and endorsing Louise Baldock as our prospective Labour MP.

"We cannot afford another 5 years of the crushing of our public services in the name of deficit reduction, but in actuality Tory-driven dogma to increase the private sector. Here in Teesside because of a lack of investment we need our public services more than ever.

"The NHS was never easy to manage but 5 years ago it was functioning as well as ever and had been generously funded by the Labour government. It was striving and succeeding with a staff who were committed to public service. Then suddenly the Tories produced, without any manifesto commitment or mandate, Andrew Lansley's Health and Social Care Act which abolished Primary Care Trusts bringing a massive top down reorganisation of the NHS. It resulted in immense redundancy costs. It moved GPs from their surgeries to the board room (Clinical Commissioning Groups) and more importantly opened the door for the privatisation of the NHS. Now nearly 5 years on the NHS is in a mess - try getting a doctors appointment in under 3 weeks!

"Under this goverment the police in Cleveland have had their numbers cut, have had their horse section closed and have lost control of their own Police Helicopter, with plans to move it from Teesside Airport to Newcastle.
My own profession, the Probation Service, has seen 70% of it privatised and some of the privatised companies are planning to replace Probation Officers with more economic and profitable electronic check in devices. (Can you imagine being counselled by an electronic device?).

Then here in Ingleby Barwick we had the Free School (much needed) providing the vehicle whereby greedy developers have seized the opportunity of the precedent set, to build on green wedge to push through plans for a further 1000+ houses, not to meet housing need (Brownfield sites available for that) but to increase disruption to traffic, cause even more pressure on our schools, doctors etc and destroy what is left of Ingleby Barwick's green wedge for their own (vast) profit.

So enter Louise Baldock, she is truly a breath of fresh air. She listens and she campaigns vigourously. I know she is a caring and compassionate woman - I have seen her on several occasions speaking out at planning applications and appeals. Apart from IBIS I have seen no other candidates or an MP of any party raising objections.

"I strongly endorse Louise Baldock's bid for Parliament. Please strike a blow for South Stockton and Teesside. Lets have a voice in Parliament who is genuinely a people person who we can approach. Vote for Louise on Thursday."

"The target-driven benefit sanctions system is so harsh and needs sorting out. I used to work for an advice giving charity and I know how hard it is for people, and how this government has made it even harder for people. I’m supporting Louise so Stockton South can have a compassionate local MP."

"At this election Britain faces an enormous choice between a Labour Party with a progressive agenda for Britain and a Conservative Party that does not care about ordinary people. Over the last five years the most vulnerable in our society have been targeted by David Cameron and George Osborne whilst the richest have had their taxes cut.

"Here in Stockton South we have a fantastic local candidate in Louise Baldock. Since becoming Labour's candidate I have seen at first-hand how dedicated and hard working Louise is. I have seen how much she cares about our area. I have seen the amount of work she has done to help people with issues they have faced.

"This is a stark contrast to the Conservative candidate who for five years has hardly ever spoken up for our area in Parliament, constantly taking the credit for hard work done by others.

"Stockton South deserves an MP who will champion our area and work tirelessly for local people. Louise Baldock will be that MP.

"That is why I fully endorse Louise and urge everybody in Stockton South who like me cares passionately about the future, to vote for Louise."

"I am backing Louise and Labour in Stockton South because I believe Louise has strong values of fair play and equality for all people. My main concern is with the National Health Service and I believe that the Labour Party will do more to protect this institution for everybody who needs it."

I'm supporting Louise and Labour because they share my values. We believe in equal opportunity so that everyone has the same chances in life and no one is left behind. For a country that supports the many and not just a privileged few, vote Labour!

Louise was a neighbour of ours in the 80s and I have known her for nearly 30 years. She supported the charitable activities of the Salvation Army in Thornaby at Christmas with us for several years and my family and I are looking forward to voting for her, one of our own, on May 7th.

Until I retired last month, I worked at North Tees and Hartlepool NHS Foundation Trust and I was horrified to read the Tory candidate’s claims that he had ‘saved the hospital’. His party is slowly strangling the NHS through cuts. Many of our hospital staff are finding they are either being made redundant or being down-graded to save money. There will be another round of cuts imposed this year, if nothing changes.

I believe there is a better alternative offered by the party who founded the NHS. Louise Baldock is committed to the NHS and a local hospital in Stockton. I can see that she cares for people and knows that health is important for wellbeing. That is why I will be voting for Louise Baldock and Labour.

Some people think that nobody votes Labour in Eaglescliffe but lots of us do. I am supporting Louise Baldock as my choice for Stockton South MP. I am backing Louise and Labour because I trust them to deliver on healthcare, transport and youth employment for Teesside.

I'm supporting Louise and Labour to save our National Health Service.

After a career of 40 years in the NHS I have retired. Five years under the Tories has left the health service I love struggling, enough is enough, I can't stand to see it get any worse.

We have got to get Louise and a Labour government elected to save it!
